Every athlete who participates in the Olympics, Paralympics, or any other competition in the spirit of fair play and good sportsmanship is deserving of honor and recognition. Those who win medals understand that they are well-deserved prizes which further emphasize the spirit of the game. Throughout the years of the competition, athletes that have won multiple prizes at the Paralympics have used their position to support education and compassion for others.Trischa Zorn, an American swimmer who first participated at the 1980 Arnhern Paralympics, has won 55 medals, including 41 gold. Zorn has been blind from birth, and since 2001 she has been using her experience to teach children with special needs in Indianapolis.
